Housekeeper lost her baby
I just got a bad news about company housekeeper that she lost her baby as her baby infects thalassemia and has to operation her baby out. Do you know about it.
Thalassemia (British spelling, "thalassaemia") is an inherited autosomal recessive blood disease. In thalassemia, the genetic defect results in reduced rate of synthesis of one of the globin chains that make up hemoglobin. Reduced synthesis of one of the globin chains causes the formation of abnormal hemoglobin molecules, and this in turn causes the anemia which is the characteristic presenting symptom of the thalassemias.
Thalassemia is a class of hemoglobinopathies, like sickle-cell disease. Thalassemias result in under production of globin proteins, often through mutations in regulatory genes. Hemoglobinopathies imply structural abnormalities in the globin proteins themselves [1]. The two conditions may overlap, however, since some conditions which cause abnormalities in globin proteins (hemoglobinopathy) also affect their production (thalassemia). Either or both of these conditions may cause anemia.
The disease is particularly prevalent among Mediterranean peoples, and this geographical association was responsible for its naming: Thalassa (θάλασσα) is Greek for the sea, Haema (αίμα) is Greek for blood.
There is no cure for thalassemias, and the best treatment available today consists of frequent blood transfusions (every two to three weeks) with iron chelation therapy (e.g. deferoxamine) administered subcutaneously. Bone marrow transplants (hematopoietic stem cell transplantations) and cord blood transplantation with pre-operative myeloablation are potentially curative, though the latter requires further investigation.

Diabetes Food Pyramid
Using the Diabetes Food Pyramid
The Diabetes Food Pyramid divides food into six groups. These groups or sections on the pyramid vary in size. The largest group -- grains, beans, and starchy vegetables -- is on the bottom. This means that you should eat more servings of grains, beans, and starchy vegetables than of any of the other foods. The smallest group -- fats, sweets, and alcohol -- is at the top of the pyramid. This tells you to eat very few servings from these food groups.
The Diabetes Pyramid gives a range of servings. If you follow the minimum number of servings in each group, you would eat about 1600 calories and if you eat at the upper end of the range, it would be about 2800 calories. Most women, would eat at the lower end of the range and many men would eat in the middle to high end of the range if they are very active. The exact number of servings you need depends on your diabetes goals, calorie and nutrition needs, your lifestyle, and the foods you like to eat. Divide the number of servings you should eat among the meals and snacks you eat each day.

Tamarind Tree restaurant
My favorite restaurant is located on the way to Rawai, on the right hand side just before the crossroad to Say Yuan. It is a Muslim restaurant that has a many kinds of plants that are lovely are makes the air smell fresh.
In front of the restaurant you will see a big tamarind tree that is why I call this restaurant the “Tamarind Tree Restaurant”. Actually, this restaurant doesn’t have a name so I think that I will tell the owner to put the sign up on the Tamarind tree.
Besides the food having a good taste, which I think is important, it is also cheap compared with the quantity of food served. I always feel good when I can see the green plants around the restaurant after working in front of a computer for many hours. It relaxes me and I am ready to get back to work after finishing lunch.
Let’s see, my favorite food is a fried chicken curry powder that is very tasty and I love it. There are many kinds of food that is delicious such as Tom Yum Kung, fried rice and fried vegetables.
I would like to invite everybody to taste some food from my favourite restaurant. I believe you will like it. The price for instance, fried rice cost 30 baht per dish or a fried vegetable dish is only 20 baht. If we join 3 friends and order 3 dishes it cost about 120 baht including water. This is my favorite restaurant and I would like to recommend it to everyone at HotelTravel.com.
